If you’re having a destination wedding then Save the Dates are a must. Those situations require a lengthy heads-up, so mailing a Save the Date well in advance increases the chances of guests being able to attend your wedding.

We recommend that you send your save the dates at least eight to ten months before the wedding. This will give your guests ample time to request days off from work and make travel plans, if needed.
However, if you're planning on having a destination wedding, aim to send them ten months to a year in advance.
